Volunteer Opportunities
Whether you are looking for ISA Hour Requirements, or opportunities to add volunteer work to your resume, Pueblo offers many ways for students get involved in the community! Volunteer work can offer valuable insight into prospective career fields, help you network, and provide you with work experience and references later on!
ISA Hour Requirements
A mininimum of 5 clock hours of community service involvement is required per school year in grades 9 through 12 for all students enrolled in Pueblo School District 60. All activities must occur outside of the school day.
All hours are due on May 1st to the Activity Office, in order to ensure you receive credit for that year. Forms may be turned in at any point earlier in the year as well.
Volunteer hours may include athletic participation, clubs, or community service hours.
Relatives of students may not sign the form as proof that they have completed their hours.
Students may not use hours that are also being used in conjunction with academic, classroom, or PE credit.
Students may not use hours that they are being paid for.
Students can download the form here, or pick it up in person at the activities office!
Where to Get Involved
Please note that this may not be an entire list of all opportunities available to students. Students may also reach out to places like local nursing homes and churches for opportunities, or create their own events for volunteering. Many students have also found opportunity reaching out to elementary schools to help with events like carnivals, tutoring, or reading to students. We have also had students help our own school do things like building sets for the drama department. Please contact us directly if there is an opportunity that may be helpful for us to list on this page or send out to students!
